Getting back up!

So another EC race has passed and yet again I failed to deliver.

The weather today was awful so they pushed the start two hours and looking back I think thats what caused my problems. When I train I usually dont warm up much and I feel great, so in races I have tried a lot of different variation to find "my" start routine, but I have yet to really fell a difference. Today however with the super bad wether we ended up sitting inside and I think that the warm up I did when we went out was not enough to get my legs going. I felt great on the start and I really thought that today was going to be a good day, but already after 20 secs my legs were numb, causing me to ski like an idiot.

I know I should know what do to by now but since different things work different every time I have failed to come to a conclusion. Today however I think I finally got a clear answer to that the "take it chill" warm up does not work.

Pretty bummed over the past few races as I have felt good in training, but when I got in the car to leave the hill I realized that I am so stoked on what I am doing right now that even complete failure did not bring me down. I got in the car and drove away happy to learn from my misstakes and to get back on it again, and I think that is going to take me a long way. Its easy to be brought down by this sport but if you truly love what you do it will come a VERY long way! Things will always be up and down and the faster you can get back up the sooner you can reach your goals!

Have a rest day here in Monaco tomorrow before we drive of to France for more EC races. (and chances to improve)!
