Yesterday turned out to be a total shit day! I did get a 22nd place in the EC race which I am kind of happy about considering that I still felt horrible. Stoked to collect a few points to maintain my start ranking for the next races in Andorra, where I hopeful will be back on track energy wise!
But after that things went to shit! First Calle Lindh who has been crushing it this year, crashed and broke his leg. He is having surgery in Lyon right now so my fingers are crossed for him! Then the luck continued as my car died, finally found a tow truck that picked me up and took me back to Les Menuires. No idea what the problem is but i hope to find out here in the next few hours, would really like to make my way to Verbier! EDIT! Car is fine, was just frozen disel! I am off to Verbier!

That was not the end of it, as my car broke down I called Oskar who was in Munich where I had the R8 on display and asked him to come pick me up incase my car had a serious problem, so at that point I thought I had a good plan. Then Oskar called me back 20 minutes later and said that the car was indicating low battery and that a bunch of warning lights had come on. So just like me Oskar is stuck with a broken car!
So not a very epic day! Oh well, at least I have some time to rest which is prio 1 for me, but I would rather do that in a chalet in Verbier then a small hotel room in Menuires! ![]()
Will keep you updated on our adventures!

Happens when you drive a big Skoda Yeti, oops it’s a Q7! Sorry, it’s wiht the snow on the picture!!
Had my car towed from Sestriere last saturday for a couple of hours inside due to frozen diesel. It was about -15 C during the night causing the diesel to freeze.
When in Italy allwas remember to fill the tank up with artic diesel before climbing the mountains during winter time. Note that you won’t find artic diesel on the highways, only in gas stations close to the mountains. Other stations often have additives, but I am not sure I would trust it…
Hur kallt var det när detta hände?
Förövrigt älskar jag din blogg, förutom att du postar för lite. Tja
Is there a chance you race World Champ in Schladming next week now that Calle is injured?
I know it’s sad for your team to have incidents like that but if there is an empty slot now why not you got there instead..
JON!! I’m in Verbier right now and it’s dumping! I’m a local and I could show you around all of the insane spots!! I really want to meet you!
Du är ingen “local” för att du råkar säsonga där?
Doesn’t sound too good, though Verbier will be epic!

Audi vorsprung durch technik!!!
That’s the one good thing living in the Nordics, we get diesel that can take -35 C.
Diesel? What’s that?
Im not surprised if you have the car on display maybee it would be wise to have a ctek charger to keep the battery in good condition. Good luck in Andorra.
When in mountains it is good to add some diesel antifreeze additive so the fuel won’t freeze. You can buy it on every petrol station. Keep up the good work Jon!
The R8 stopped literally in the entrance to the autobahn station with 10 trucks behind. We had some panic for a slight second! You should be thankful to have Oskar!
