There are good days and then there are really good days! ![]()
I feel like I have had a lot of good training this year, but today was by far the best day! Snow was epic, weather was perfect, a course to myself, but best of all is that I think I have found what need in order to take the next step in my skiing.
Skiing today worked better than ever before and its all thanks to Oskar Andersson who has been coaching me here in Verbier. The first few days when I was here alone I was skiing up and down thinking I did a pretty darn good job. When he showed up we free skiied for a few days and when he advised me to try a more narrow stance I figured I would give it a try, as most of the things he has been saying all winter has worked really well. I will admit that I was a little sceptical as I did not really get why I should have a more narrow stance, in my head that would just create a smaller platform and less balance. But I gave it a try and it changed my skiing a ton over night.
Over the past few month I have had a hard time to get the outside ski to grip coming into the turns and my hip has ended in a low position, today when I look at the video I feel like I grew 20 cm over night as my hip is now high and strong! I know its a lot of tech mumbo jumbo talk, but I am just so excited that I have found this so I had to give it a few sentences! ![]()
More training tomorrow, body feels ready and good to go even after 10 runs in the course today! ![]()

Tja, finns bilderna i högupplöst format? Vore klockren bild som bakgrundsbild!
Jon, didn’t you spend some time working with Harald Harb? He teaches a narrow stance from day 1.
Nice to hear you’re finally getting the result you wanted from your training.
The GoPro shot is awesome. As are the other shots.
peace out,

Ok so heres the most recent shot I called for you

Shot caller
The shot caller is psyched heading to Rocky Mtns with dad for another week of free skiing and pow pow is forecasted
Jon when you are out running gates and training do not do it half assed do it 100 percent like its for your life like its a contest like its the olympics
believe it is before you go and even get jacked up nerves everything and then let um rip
also see if some music in your ear helps maybe some swedish mafia or what ever
Keep us posted great to hear you are feeling it
Game up and let the games begin
Do you have any timing in the course? so that you can se your progress or less progress in actual seconds?
Feeling faster/better and actually being faster is a different thing
Regards
CC
