Yesterday the snow was rock hard and the sun was shining, today the weather had come in and changed all that. We knew it was going to be warm when we headed up the lift, but at that point the sun was still peaking out through the clouds and it looked pretty good, but by the time we had inspected the course, the fog rolled up the mountain sides and just as we were getting started the visibility was close to zero.
Skiing in the fog is always tough, but since tough conditions is what I need to work on it added another factor for me to try to concur! And when looking at the times it seems like I had taken a big step forward from the last few days. Today I was way closer to the Big Boys than I was yesterday and on some sections I was actually looking very good!
So despite the rain and the fog, I still had a great day as I felt that I was moving forward and learning! I guess you really love what you do when you get down from the hill and you are soaking wet and the video that was shot is useless as we could only see a gate or two! So even if my time is short to get to where I need to be on Sunday I am still super stoked for this winter as I am taking big steps every time I head up the lift!
