Also You need to do the suck up move in between the gates so you don’t fly around at the top of the turn. Which is the most important part!

Big fan of you man, I got mad respect for you and what you’re doing. I wish soooooo bad I had the money to attempt a comeback in ski racing, you have inspired me a lot. I was a very talented skier but had some bad luck with injuries but it is what it is. Congrats on getting into Hinterstoder it’s amazing how far you’ve come. You are so close in your skiing to having a major breakthrough, you have mad talent and athleticism and you will be surprising yourself soon. As soon as you fix dropping inside at the top of the turn and picking your hands up you are gonna be super fast. Try in free skiing picking up the inside tail at the top of every turn so you CANT go inside and skiing with your hands in the bottom sight of your eyes like an upright tuck…… Helped me big time. I used to watch Michael Von Grueningen do this back in the day pre-season at Nakiska because this was a problem for him. Skiing has changed but the fundamentals haven’t. Look at Tommy in the the Europa Cup and although he’s laid right over he could still pick up the inside tail.

Reading your result of this EC race, I was quite surprised. I thought you would end up higher for sure. But your runs didn’t seem impeccable. So TNT will have to train harder to get harder, better, faster.
Make this non selection for the upcoming WC race into something positive. Get all your anger and canalize it to make progress in your skiing like never before. In that way they can never ignore you and refuse you that starting place for the WC again.

Take the advice or not as you will, but seeing the footage of the second run, it’s clear what could get you the extra speed: You have great foot speed, but you lose pressure because of upper body motion, especially your arms. It’s worse when your arms go behind you, as you lose both speed and control. Arms forward and lower would also bring you forward for faster turn initiation. Easier said than done, but take it from Nilsen and Ford if not from me.
