We are officially back in winter mode!
Heading over to NZ from Europe where summer is blazing is pretty weird. I have done this trip for the past 11 years so I am starting to get used to the short summers that this means. The years when we fly over and get greeted with perfect weather is tough enough as you are still in summer mode, but when you arrive to a day like this I have to be honest and say that its a bit though, dont get me wrong, I love skiing but when you wake up and see you friends on F book tanning and barbecuing it kind of sucks to put on chains in the mud to head up and ski in heavy new snow where you cant even see your feet.
With only 4 ski days to go before the first race in NZ we made the most of it and tried to get a feel for the new boots! Then off to the gym and lifted 105kg in bench, have not done any bench since june so I was pretty happy! Have set a goal to do 115 before we leave here in 6 weeks, always fun with mini challenges!
Still early here so hard to tell what the weather is doing but at cant be any worse than yesterday!
