Yesterday started out horribly. I completely F**ed up the first run with 2 huge misstakes while feeling totally out of control. I was super bummed and disappointed so when I saw Daniel at the 2nd run inspection and saw that he had a pair of 35m skis on I just had to say F**k it and ask if I could try them. So far down here I have refused to use the new skis as I hate the idea of them but as I have to use them this winter I guess I had to start somewhere. The problem was that the only turns I had done on them was in the spring on super soft snow so I was pretty nervous!
Once in the course I felt pretty awkward on the first few gates but halfway down I realized that the new skis was actually helping me a TON to stay on the snow rather than jumping around, which has been my biggest problem over the past few years. Got to the bottom and on my first run I was already skiing better on them then I was on the old skis, and with only 40/100 separating me and Felix who won in the second run I was super stoked.
So the new horrible skis that is boring to ski is actually working great for me which is pretty ironic. From now on I will surrender to the devil and use the new ones. I must admit that at times when skiing is tough I really wonder what the hell I am up to trying to get back into this sport, but with the news skis working like they do I am super pumped and mega motivated again!

Oh…. When will we see the Audi ontop of your skis?
You had to give in at some point off course. Even if it’s giving in to the devil.
Will there be any room for some car jumping with Felix and Ted. Or will you give in to reason as well
btw, super nice pictures
peace out,
